Bridging the Gap of the In-Between
I am an artist and educator whose work bridges the enchantment of classical animation with contemporary psychological myth making—an ongoing attempt to traverse the gap of the in-between
Drawing from music, poetry, and the writings of Carl Jung, my practice traces the dialogue between anima and animus, the thresholds between light and dark, and the whimsical liminal spaces where mythology and personal psychology entwine.
My current body of work builds narrative worlds shaped by sweetness and decay, archetype and dissolution—lands that reveal the human condition through characters both haunting and strangely familiar. I’m drawn to imagery that feels like a half-remembered dream: charming at first glance, quietly unsettling underneath, a mirror held to the inner landscape.
Originally from the high peaks of Colorado, I now teach drawing and foundations at Ringling College of Art and Design, guiding students in the craft of seeing—developing not only technical skill but the voice required to make meaning from the worlds within and the bridges we build between them.
